About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Must complete 75 hours of supervised practicum.
• Must perform all required skills successfully during practicum.
• Must have all skills checklists (RCP's) signed off during clinicals.
• Must submit completed RCP booklets at the end of clinicals.
• Must complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with required information and signatures.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical prior to starting the course.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance are required.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for organization and time management assistance.
• The first 16 hours of practicum will be with the class instructor.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
• Demonstrate and have signed off on all skills checklists (RCP's) during clinicals.
• Submit completed RCP booklets at the end of clinicals.
• Complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with required information and signatures.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements.
