About The Position

The Blue Barn is hiring temporary fair workers for their large concession stand at the Minnesota State Fair. This role requires motivated individuals interested in being a part of a fast-paced environment. The fair runs for 12 consecutive days from August 27th to Labor Day, September 7th. The Blue Barn booth operates daily from 7 am to 11 pm. We are seeking Guest Service professionals who can be versatile and perform various roles including cashier, runner, prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher. A minimum of 4 shifts per week is required, with each shift averaging 8 hours. Compensation starts at $15 per hour, depending on experience, and this is a tipped position. Successful applicants will receive fairground admission daily if on time for their scheduled shift, and a shift meal at the end of each shift. There is a potential for permanent employment with the Blue Plate Restaurant Group for successful temporary employees. Applicants must be 15 years or older and able to receive text messages for schedule updates via a mobile application.
