About The Position

The Blue Barn is hiring temporary fair workers for their large concession stand at the Minnesota State Fair. This role requires motivated individuals interested in being part of a dynamic team. The fair runs for 12 consecutive days from August 27th to Labor Day, September 7th, with operating hours from 7 am to 11 pm. We are seeking Guest Service professionals who can perform various roles including cashier, runner, prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher.

Requirements

• Must be 15 years or older.
• Able and willing to accept text messages via our mobile application for updates to schedules, etc.
• Must work a minimum of 4 shifts per week.
• Must be on time for scheduled shifts to receive fairground admission.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Guest Service professional.
• Ability to function as a utility player.

Responsibilities

• Function as a utility player, moving between roles such as cashier, runner, prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher.
• Work a minimum of 4 shifts per week, with an average shift length of 8 hours.
• Accept text messages via a mobile application for schedule updates and other communications.
