About The Position

The BLS Instructor conducts training and education at the basic life support level in concert with the overall mission of the EMS training center. Provides logistical support for on-site and off-site courses, supports EMS training Center leadership through clerical and operational functions in addition to teaching courses.

Requirements

High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
A minimum of 2 years of Healthcare (EMT or higher level / or specialized instructor - addiction dispatch drug use) experience as a provider.
Must possess basic computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong Interpersonal Skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Valid Driver's License from a USA State.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1-year Instructor experience.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Instructor Certification within 6 months of hire.
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification, Emergency Medical Technician Instructor, Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP) Certification, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) Certification, or a higher-level medical license.
AHA BLS Instructor Certification.
Emergency Medical Technician aid.
EMR Instructor Certification.

Responsibilities

Able to conduct training and education at the basic life support level in concert with the overall mission of the EMS training center.
Provides logistics support for onsite and offsite course offerings.
Supports EMS training center leadership through clerical and operational functions in addition to teaching courses.
Needs to maintain EMS certification and BLS Instructor.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Lifts a minimum of 5lbs, pushes and pulls a minimum of 25 lbs. and stands a minimum of 3 hours a day.
