Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree/experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that brand new products or process related to blowers is designed within various industry standards according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner while following the PCP process.
  • Provide technical expertise for blower assembly design and tolerance design.
  • Work closely with internal and external suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met on time and within cost targets.
  • Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, GD&T and drawings.
  • Initiate, review and release drawings, specs and parts.
  • Ensure that design related documents/changes are in the PDM system and maintained throughout the life of the product.
  • Continuously improve existing product design to increase customer satisfaction (CI and VAVE initiatives).
  • Ensure functional and safe prototypes.
  • Identify unachievable project timelines from design phase through production and service.
  • Attend, support and participate in engineering development meetings, program launches with the customer and team.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customer, and Gentherm internal.
  • Reviews manufacturing and industrial engineering related documentation for new and existing products.
