About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Blow Mold Operator on 3rd Shift (Monday- Friday 9:00pm-5:30am with weekends per business need), where you will oversee daily blow molding operations and drive quality, efficiency, and team performance. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and maintain blow mold machinery, train operators, perform basic maintenance, and ensure all equipment runs smoothly. You'll lead quality checks, adjust trimming machines and cooling beds, and manage bag/debag tables with precision. This position has a base hourly rate of $25.00 based on skills and experience + $1 shift differential working 3rd shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 or more years of experience operating production equipment within a plastics manufacturing environment, such as blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, or thermoforming
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including following written and verbal work instructions
  • Demonstrated experience with machine startups, mold changes, and programmable parison head adjustments
  • Working knowledge of material compounding, mixing, and grinder operation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shift changes as business needs require

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Uniloy blow molding machines preferred
  • Prior people leadership or lead operator experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot blow molding equipment, including cold starts, routine production, and issue resolution to minimize downtime and ensure containers meet quality specifications
  • Perform daily equipment setups and bottle size changeovers on assigned blow molders and related equipment, including bag/debag tables, cooling beds, and trimmers
  • Access, interpret, and adjust Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and machine programming, making profile and parameter changes to maintain quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and complete all required production, quality control, and compliance documentation for assigned lines
  • Collaborate with production and support teams to optimize process flow, communicate process changes, and assist with training and knowledge transfer as needed
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting while adhering to all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, and hazardous materials procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, ensuring proper handling and disposal of waste materials
