About The Position

As a Blow Mold Operator 2 - 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm with weekends per business need), you are a key driver of our production performance, responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing blow molding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role is critical to maintaining continuous production flow and delivering finished products that meet strict quality specifications. Success in this position is measured by your ability to minimize downtime, maintain consistent product quality, execute efficient changeovers, and proactively identify and resolve equipment or process issues. You will play a vital role in supporting plant operations through strong technical execution, communication, and adherence to safety standards. This position has a base hourly rate of $24.72.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 2 or more years of experience operating blow molding equipment (uniloy preferred)
  • 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing or continuous production environments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery
  • Familiarity with quality systems and documentation practices
  • Ability to use and maintain basic hand tools
  • Basic computer skills (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work safely while remaining alert to machine operations at all times
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 12 hours

Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot blow molding machines to ensure continuous, efficient production
  • Start up machines from cold conditions and bring them to full production while meeting all quality specifications
  • Retrieve, evaluate, and adjust PLC programming to optimize machine performance
  • Perform daily machine setups and bottle size changeovers across assigned equipment
  • Conduct quality checks, make machine profile adjustments, and accurately document all changes
  • Maintain daily production and quality control records for assigned production lines
  • Coordinate with production personnel to ensure efficient process flow and minimize downtime
  • Stay current on process changes by reviewing logs, procedures, and operational updates
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and support overall housekeeping standards
  • Follow and support all safety programs and policies
  • Clear machine jams, clean sensors, and perform minor adjustments (e.g., checking belts/chains) to minimize downtime.
