About The Position

The Blow Mold Mechanic plays a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting blow molding equipment to support safe, efficient production of high-quality bottles. This role partners closely with operations to perform preventative maintenance, resolve equipment issues, and support mold changes and machine setups to keep production running smoothly. Success in this position is measured by maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting consistent production performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience required, in a high-speed packaging or manufacturing environment; experience in food, beverage, or bottling operations strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of blow mold experience required; experience with Uniloy equipment preferred
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing production needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts including days, afternoons, and nights as required.

Nice To Haves

  • experience in food, beverage, or bottling operations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain blow molding machines and supporting equipment including chillers, air compressors, grinders, and blenders.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Perform machine setup activities including hanging molds, changeovers, and equipment adjustments to support production requirements.
  • Monitor bottle quality and equipment performance to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and saws to fabricate or repair machine components when needed.
  • Collaborate with operators and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, support changeovers, and provide guidance on proper machine operation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and department efficiency.
