Block Saw Operator

Requirements
- Able to keep full production pace while maintaining quality.
- Demonstrate team player skills in working with co-workers and supervisors.
- Must have good performance, safety and attendance records.
- Must demonstrate good communication skills.
- Must have ability to identify and communicate potential problems, then work to solve them.
- Know general lockout procedures and demonstrate safe behaviors.
- Maintain clean workstations and demonstrate good housekeeping behaviors.
- Above all else, must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Demonstrate ability to work safely and care for tools and equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Debarker experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Cut logs to optimum length maximizing quality and recovery
- Carefully follow all cutting changes maintaining safety, quality and production
- Assist debarker operator with problems on their deck, belts and bins
- Maintain full production pace
- Will need to operate the Chain Saw as needed and do the required maintenance
