Blending Operator
About The Position
Set up, operate, or tend machines to mix or blend different materials. This role involves weighing or measuring materials, compounding or processing ingredients or dyes according to formulas, and reading work orders to determine production specifications. The operator will monitor equipment for safe and efficient operation, mix or blend ingredients by starting machines for specified times, and dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery. Responsibilities also include collecting samples for laboratory testing, operating blending machinery for various materials, and adding or mixing chemicals or ingredients using hand tools. The operator will stop machines when specified product qualities are obtained and transfer mixtures by opening valves and starting pumps.
Requirements
- Ability to follow direction and assist with in-process quality control measures.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
- Reading and comprehension abilities.
- Ability to work in a Team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.
- High School Diploma or equivalent degree and training.
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to continually stand and walk for up to 10-hour days.

- Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
