This includes understanding and following written and verbal instructions, performing basic math functions, and correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position also requires the ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and to safely handle various chemicals. Environmental protection and immediate reporting of incidents are crucial aspects of the role. The operator will also be involved in weighing materials, labeling containers, operating pumps and hoses, collecting samples, charging raw materials, and handling empty containers. Understanding units of measure, completing production documentation, performing packaging operations, and operating auxiliary equipment like filter presses are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes assisting with receiving and shipping materials, and operating a forklift for material transport.
