Requirements

• Maintain thorough knowledge of the computer batching program.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are used in the manufacture of safe, hygienic product.
• Transfer of finished product from mixers to storage and storage to storage.
• Read and understand the Blenders Training Manual.
• Perform inventory of raw chemicals as needed.
• Clean up work area and help others clean their areas if needed.
• Communicate with all departments in which Liquids is involved.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of the liquid process operation.
• Coordinating mixing activity and processes as directed by the Blending Team Manager.
• Ensuring safety and quality in the Liquid Process.
• Overseeing the Sanitization Program including knowledge of chemical and steam sanitization processes, deliverance of steam through the system to mixers and storage tanks, maintenance and preparation of sanitization totes, and coordination of sanitization between Packaging and Blending Operators.
• Ensuring the safe handling of all chemicals in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Ensuring the proper and safe cleanup or reporting of spills.
• Ensuring the proper operation of the hot and cold R.O. water system, including monitoring of regeneration times.
• Operational knowledge of all quality testing, including pH testing and hardness testing of soft water unit and soft water storage tanks.
• Performing analytical testing on finished product when needed.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of the fluid flow from raw material storage tanks or day tanks to mixers and premixers, and fluid flow from mixers to packaging storage tanks.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of the waste water system, including the drains and pits associated with this system.
• Checking and recording permeate water COD samples as needed.
• Proper operation of all mixers and equipment.
• Recording and maintenance of shift forms and logbooks.
• Using proper methods for reporting broken or leaking equipment to management and supervision.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of all formulations.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of the non-bulk storage area.
• Maintaining the stock level and recording lot numbers of non-bulk and bulk raw materials in the process.
• Performing troubleshooting for equipment and batches.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of the computer batching program.
