About The Position

The Blend Assistant supports the daily operations of Celebration Church’s Blend coffee shop by preparing beverages, assisting with inventory and finances, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The role combines service and hospitality in a Christ-centered environment and provides coverage at the Blend Annex on weekdays and at the Celebration Center on Sundays. This is a non-exempt, hourly part-time position scheduled for 10 hours per week, with variable shift scheduling. Weekend hours may be available based on operational needs.

Have 1 year of experience in restaurant, retail, coffeehouse, or hospitality environments.

Accurately prepare beverages and maintain clean, safe, and orderly workspaces.
Prioritize tasks and manage shift responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Work effectively with the Blend Team and vendors.
Handle payments, receipts, and registers with integrity and precision.
Apply health, safety, and sanitation practices when handling food, beverages, and equipment.
Respond quickly to changing needs, take initiative to solve problems, and proactively support operations.
Accurately track, store, and replenish supplies.
Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, teammates, and vendors.
Be dependable in covering shifts, opening and closing duties, and maintaining consistent service standards.
Meet the stated physical demands, including moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and working outside in varying climates and temperatures.

Responsibilities

Provide in-person coverage for weekday needs at the Celebration Blend Annex and Sunday needs at the Celebration Center.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to customer orders and preferences, and prepare coffee for staff.
Take and fill customer orders, provide effective customer care, and assist with payments.
Open and close as scheduled for regular services and events occurring during shifts.
Clean and sanitize Blend spaces, preparation areas, and equipment; store and secure items properly and maintain safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Receive, store, track, and replenish inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records and orderly counter and storage spaces.
Store, prepare, and maintain food and drink ingredients according to equipment vendor requirements.
Monitor vendor services and equipment maintenance, and schedule or perform cleaning and maintenance as needed.
Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Provide feedback to help maintain standards of excellence and guest experience as needs evolve.
Handle cash, receipts, and money bags to ensure cash register security and accuracy.
Enter Blend expenses into the applicable expense system and assist with keeping expense reports current.
Use purchasing processes to order and pay for services and items; maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
