Service and Maintain the Building Automation web supervisor and subsequent JACE stations that report to the web supervisor. Design, install, repair, test, commission, operate, and maintain all types of BAS control equipment network infrastructure, as well as write and modify control programs. Troubleshooting / repair / and programming of control systems, BAS related PCs and their associated translators and comm modules, and other BAS related communication systems with the ability to analyze / diagnose controls systems associated with HVAC equipment but not limited to pumps, motors, associated sensors and modules, VFD's as well minor PC troubleshooting. Preventive, Predictive and/or Corrective maintenance for HVAC equipment controls, Power Plant / Mechanical Room processes and analytical instrumentation used for the daily site operations, utility monitoring, Lighting control, and other automated measures supported by the BAS system. Build and maintain the Graphical database representing the assets for the facility. Ensure the user has high-quality experience. Works closely with in-house resources, building contractors, and service vendors as well as the Local Project Management Team and or the Technical Review Board (TRB), with project implementations of new equipment and/or control systems, ensuring site teams can operate, maintain, service and repair the BAS infrastructure. Proactively optimize site control systems to manage operating costs for a wide variety of mechanical systems such as: HVAC systems, chillers, towers, compressors, power distribution systems, etc. Proficient in open protocol Tridium Niagara building automation system and a variety of other direct digital control (DDC) protocols including but not limited to BACnet, ModBus, PUP and AAM Perform trending on Building Automation Systems, specific utility interface programs, analyze the data and adjust the operational parameters for energy savings, functionality and reliability. Validate that systems have proper maintenance programs. Set up automated services and conduct regular maintenance tasks on the building automation system, including performing system backups, updating licensing, and updating software. Monitor system performance. Identifying areas for improvement, needed upgrades, ensuring networks are communicating, optimizing system settings for energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Proactively participate in/ lead company sustainability efforts and team meetings and have ability to work with and provide input to support BAE's Net Zero initiative through energy conservation, sustainability practices, and local city saving programs. Provide training and support where needed. Building automation technicians may provide training and support to end users or operators of the building automation system, ensuring that they are familiar with the system's features and functionalities. Building automation technicians are responsible for staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in building automation technology, attending training sessions or workshops, and continuously improving their skills and knowledge. Maintain BAS credentials and proficiency through continued education, seminars etc. Ensure that the building automation system complies with safety and regulatory standards, including electrical codes, fire protection codes, and energy efficiency standards. Document and report system performance, including any issues or improvements made, maintenance tasks performed, and energy consumption data using the Maximo CMMS system. BAS technicians are responsible for following the company's policies and procedures, including safety protocols, quality standards, and customer service guidelines. Assist with Metrics Data Maintain all BAE Systems BAS standards. Perform other duties as determined by Team Leader or Department Manager.
