About The Position

This is a temporary long-term, unionized position for a Blaster. The role involves carrying out duties according to safety standards, executing blasting work or any other work requiring the use of explosives, fragmenting and cutting massive rock, breaking isolated rocks, and potentially using various drilling-related tools. The Blaster is also responsible for ensuring equipment inspection before and after their shift and performing any other tasks requested by their supervisor. The work is located in Nunavik with a demanding work schedule.

Requirements

• Must have successfully passed the Blaster Exam or have equivalent experience
• DEP in Drilling and Blasting
• Good knowledge of the Digishot Plus electronic blasting system
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Hold a general explosive permit
• Bilingual (French / English)

Responsibilities
