Responsible for the overall guest experience as it relates to education, delivery and presentation of bistro food and beverage. This role promotes superior guest service and maintains a positive organizational culture. The Bistro Server greets guests, explains the menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, coffee, and beverage options. They take and deliver guest orders, present checks, accept payment, and make change. Additional duties include side work such as cleaning tables, restocking items, filling ice bins, and general setup and cleaning. The position also requires knowledge of legal drinking age and procedures, including checking identification and exercising good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages, understanding their effects on the body. Confidentiality of sensitive information is also required.
