About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a full-time Bistro Cook to join our culinary team. As a Bistro Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality and guest satisfaction. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook in a bistro, restaurant, or hotel kitchen is preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure timely and visually appealing food presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work closely with the service team to provide an outstanding dining experience for our guests
  • Monitor inventory and assist in restocking kitchen supplies as needed
  • Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist in menu development and contribute new ideas to enhance the dining experience
