About The Position

The Bistro Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes for a soon-to-open Courtyard by Marriott. This role involves direct guest interaction, including greeting, presenting menus, answering questions, taking orders, and accommodating special requests. The cook will also manage food inventory, place orders, maintain logs, and ensure the quality of received food products. Additionally, responsibilities include restocking the bar, replenishing the pantry, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, resetting tables, computing bills, accepting payments, and tracking sales receipts. Adherence to company policies and completion of alcohol awareness training are required.

Requirements

  • Must complete Alcohol Training, i.e. Brand Alcohol Awareness such as ServSafe.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares/cooks food according to recipes.
  • Greets guests, presents menus, answers questions, takes orders, and accommodates special requests as needed.
  • Prepares food according to the menu and quantity needed for the orders.
  • Maintains food supply and equipment inventory weekly and orders as needed.
  • Maintains daily temperature and waste logs.
  • Receives, dates, and examines food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet order requests and standard specifications.
  • Restocks bar, replenishes pantry, cleans counters, tables, utensils, and kitchen at the close end of shift.
  • Resets counters and tables at guests’ departure and at end of shifts.
  • Computes bill, accepts payment, and tracks sales receipts.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Must complete Alcohol Training, i.e. Brand Alcohol Awareness such as ServSafe.
