About The Position

The Birthday Party Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing birthday party sales to meet revenue and attendance goals. This role involves generating and nurturing leads, closing sales, and providing excellent support to guests via phone and email. The coordinator ensures exceptional guest experience by answering questions, offering assistance, and recommending options tailored to guest needs. They stay informed on product offerings, pricing, and promotions to execute sales accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong selling and service skills, with a focus on professionalism and guest satisfaction. This job description outlines key duties and responsibilities; however, it is not an exhaustive list. Team members may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the smooth operation and success of Big Rivers Waterpark. Flexibility and a proactive approach are highly valued in our team.

Requirements

  • Must maintain a high level of concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with attention to detail.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and grows birthday party sales to meet revenue and attendance goals.
  • Generates and nurtures leads, closes sales, and provides excellent support to guests via phone and email.
  • Ensures exceptional guest experience by answering questions, offering assistance, and recommending options tailored to guest needs.
  • Stays informed on product offerings, pricing, and promotions to execute sales accurately and efficiently.
  • Sets up birthday parties and assists with the general maintenance/upkeep of party areas.
  • Hosts birthday parties and leads activities for children.
  • Assists party participants with check-in and ensures guests are satisfied with their visit.
  • Attends all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
  • Responds quickly, efficiently, and professionally to any emergency situation; completes necessary paperwork and notifies the appropriate professional staff member.
  • Enforces all rules and regulations promptly and professionally; notifies the appropriate professional on duty staff member of inappropriate behavior of facility users.
  • Greets guests when entering or leaving establishment.
  • Makes sales referrals, cross-sells products and introduces new products when applicable.
  • Pleasantly answers guests' questions and refers to management if the answer does not solve the issue.
  • Multi-tasks while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Upsells seasonal passes, star cash, and other packages.
  • Handles cash and credit transactions with guests.
  • Issues change, receipts, and star cash.
  • Redeems coupons and honors discounts.
  • Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct.
  • Ensures pricing is correct, scans products, collects payments, and bags items carefully.
  • Acquires product knowledge and keeps updated on changes, daily prices, product availability, and events.
  • Reports any theft or suspicious activity to management ASAP.
  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the park.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures while protecting company assets.
  • Maintains a clean and tidy work area.
  • Takes pride in their wardrobe & appearance.
  • Assists other departments as staffing needs require.
