About The Position

This is a full time position Monday through Friday - Onsite based at UAB Medical West Hospital - Bessemer, AL - Hours to be 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT. Complete birth, death and fetal death certificates in accordance with State guidelines. Submit monthly reports to the State Vital Statistics Department Provide Paternity Affidavit services Facilitate completion of certificates when necessary Update patient demographics Assist with scanning for chart completion Manage inventory and supply orders for staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of Diploma / GED.
• 1-3+ year's experience in office, business, operations, customer service or healthcare field.

Nice To Haves

• One-year medical record experience
• Notary License
