About The Position

This is a full time position Monday through Friday - Onsite based at UAB Medical West Hospital - Bessemer, AL - Hours to be 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT. The role involves completing birth, death and fetal death certificates in accordance with State guidelines, submitting monthly reports to the State Vital Statistics Department, providing Paternity Affidavit services, facilitating completion of certificates when necessary, updating patient demographics, assisting with scanning for chart completion, and managing inventory and supply orders for staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of Diploma / GED.
• 1-3+ year's experience in office, business, operations, customer service or healthcare field.

Nice To Haves

• One-year medical record experience
• Notary License

Responsibilities
