About The Position

Tulane University School of Medicine Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a part-time, hourly Biostatistician to provide statistical support for a growing portfolio of clinical research studies and investigator-initiated projects. This is a flexible, part-time hourly position with work hours determined based on project needs and candidate availability. It offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative clinical research within a nationally recognized academic gastroenterology and hepatology program.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience analyzing clinical research data using statistical software such as SAS, R, SPSS, or Stata.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary research teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with faculty and research staff on study design, sample size and power calculations, statistical analysis plans, data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, grant applications, and regulatory reports.
• Providing statistical consultation throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials and observational research studies.
