About The Position

The Biostatistician collaborates with research teams to develop and evaluate data analysis plans for healthcare research studies; analyzes and interprets biological and health science data; recommends study design, data collection procedures, statistical methodologies, and software specifications; analyzes, interprets, and creates data representations using various statistical and mathematical software; and integrates emerging technologies into research recommendations. Collaborate with investigators, physicians, and graduate/medical students to design and implement a statistical analysis plan based on study objectives and research needs in clinical and health science research settings. Consult and advise researchers on study design, statistical analysis strategies, reliability, data collection procedures, determining statistical power and sample size, and designing randomization schemes. Provide statistical expertise in the interpretation of experimental results; integrate and perform novel and complex statistical methodologies and advanced models into protocols; analyze data using statistical or mathematical software. Maintain knowledge of statistical software packages; develop, test, debug, implement, modify and evaluate new or existing statistical or mathematical software programs in support of research projects. Write specifications for files, validation checks, tables, and calculations used to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources. Prepare visual representations and displays of statistical results for inclusion in reports, presentations, scholarly publications, and grant applications; create programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures. Author statistic portions of abstracts, manuscripts, and final reports. Make recommendations to researchers informed by new developments in the statistical and mathematical field associated with software and methodology. Provide statistical consultation to physicians and graduate/medical students; guide medical students in the statistical aspects of Medical Student Research projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
