About The Position

This position is within the Department of Biostatistics at Wake Forest University Health Sciences, focusing on Public Health Services. The role is full-time, benefits-eligible, with a 40-hour work week and a hybrid schedule. The Biostatistician II will collaborate with biomedical investigators to develop study objectives, design sampling, randomization, and data collection procedures. They will design tables and statistical procedures for research studies, monitor and assess data quality in collaboration with clinic personnel and analysts/programmers, and write statistical computer programs. The role involves analyzing data, preparing tables for reports, and writing the results section of reports or publications. Other related duties incidental to the work described may also be performed.

Requirements

Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics, or related area
Three years' experience working in a biomedical environment.
Experience in analyzing data using statistical package(s).
Ability to organize data and communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians
Ability to write statistical considerations for grant proposals

Responsibilities

Collaborates with biomedical investigators and assist in developing objectives, designing sampling, randomization and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives.
Designs tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies.
Collaborates with clinic and other personnel, including analyst/programmers in monitoring and assessing data quality.
Writes statistical computer programs and reviews computer output for consistency and quality.
Analyzes data and prepares tables for interim and final reports.
Writes the results section of the reports or publications.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
