About The Position

This requisition is for an onsite Biospecimen Coordinator. The contract is currently six months, with a possibility of extension based on performance and business need. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that sample shipments are processed, triaged, and tracked with high precision. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate chain of custody and supporting various workflow improvements within the BioSample Management Group.

Requirements

1–5 years of relevant experience.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Clear, professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Meticulous approach to work and a high standard for quality.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with biosample management and accessioning.
Good Google Suite/Microsoft Office skills (e.g., MS Word/Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.).
Experience with LIMS or other sample tracking software.

Responsibilities

Receive, open, and triage incoming sample shipments, directing them to the appropriate testing locations.
Perform sample accessioning and conduct quality control checks on demographic data entry to ensure accuracy.
Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding held or rejected samples, resolving issues promptly.
Execute sample labeling and perform final quality control checks to verify labeling accuracy.
Image stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within established timelines.
Manage internal and client requests, including global sample shipments, while maintaining rigorous chain of custody standards.
Oversee the team inbox to ensure all requests are tracked and completed.
Lead and drive deliverables for assigned process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
