About The Position

As a Biorepository Technician, you will sort and inventory research materials, which may include wet tissues, blocks, slides, paper data, and temperature-sensitive materials. You will perform archiving procedures needed to complete assigned projects, follow the Archives’ Standard Operating Procedures, and use its equipment. You will keep the Biorepository Coordinator informed about daily progress, including irregularities and deviations from normal procedures, and perform work in accordance with Quality Control procedures. The role also requires availability for offsite projects and travel, along with other duties assigned by the Biorepository Coordinator or appropriate supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities

• Sort and inventory research materials, including wet tissues, blocks, slides, paper data, and temperature-sensitive materials.
• Keep the Biorepository Coordinator informed of day-to-day progress, irregularities, and deviations from normal procedures.
• Perform archiving procedures required to complete assigned projects.
• Follow the Archives’ Standard Operating Procedures and use its equipment.
• Perform work in accordance with Quality Control procedures.
• Be available for offsite projects and travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Biorepository Coordinator or appropriate supervisory personnel.
