About The Position

The Biorepository Associate supports routine laboratory operations related to the receipt, quality control, and storage of clinical specimens. This role ensures accurate handling, documentation, and storage in compliance with regulatory and company standards while working a Tuesday–Saturday, 3:30 PM – midnight shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to manage workflow and reporting processes
  • Experience with specimen handling, shipment processing, or laboratory documentation practices
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a regulated environment
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines consistently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints).
  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving consignments and shipments of clinical specimens
  • Open shipments and perform quality checks on patient information forms, escalating discrepancies or damage
  • Prepare and coordinate shipments for long-term storage, client needs, or specimen disposition
  • Support after-hours alarms and other critical operational functions
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of laboratory tools
  • Support inventory management and maintain cleanliness of workstations
  • Perform administrative tasks and organize work areas as directed
