This role involves responding to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repairs and planned maintenance (PM) on complex customer biomedical equipment. The position drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence and may function as a Site Leader. Responsibilities include evaluating complex customer biomedical equipment issues, implementing appropriate repairs, performing PM and safety/environmental inspections, and maintaining effective customer relations. The role also involves leading others regarding GE policies, procedures, and hospital protocol, establishing proactive daily communications with customers, and partnering with teammates and colleagues. The technician will implement GE/customer facility contracts, support customer and business goals, and lead/instruct/assist other technicians. They will work as a member of a local team to provide efficient service delivery, share on-call responsibility, document all repair actions, and ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment. Maintaining approved parts inventory and managing vendor service delivery processes are also key. The role requires enhancing and maintaining technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures. A Site Leader role may involve directing activities of fellow BMETs, engaging in interactive customer relationships, interacting with customer leadership, and participating in a Safety Committee. Compliance with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety, and other applicable regulatory requirements is essential.
