About The Position

Maintains medical-related equipment through repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical safety testing. The role helps ensure patient and staff safety, supports accurate diagnosis by medical providers, and promotes compliance with Environment of Care requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Engineering, or an accepted alternative.
• At least two years of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) experience, or four years of total experience in lieu of the degree.
• Alternatively, a required equivalent military Biomedical Technician program or an industry-recognized certification (AAMI / ACI CBET, CRES, or CLES).

Responsibilities

• Repair medical-related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on medical-related equipment.
• Perform electrical safety activities to help ensure patient and staff safety.
• Help ensure medical equipment supports correct diagnosis by medical providers.
• Help ensure compliance with Environment of Care requirements.
