This role seeks a highly-motivated biomedical optics engineer to devise elegant solutions for measuring complex physiological signals within compact form-factors, thereby enabling the next generation of optical health sensors for products like Apple Watch and AirPods. The successful candidate will apply their deep expertise in physics, physiology, and optics to develop these sensors. They will also be responsible for building research platforms to study physiology, analyzing user data to understand real-world performance trends and emergent behavior, and utilizing simulation tools to model sensor behavior. A key aspect of the role involves distilling complex technical concepts into concise technology assessments for cross-functional collaborators and senior management.
