About The Position

The Undergraduate Bioethics Internship provides an undergraduate intern the opportunity to work on an assigned summer research project under the direction of a faculty mentor. Interns participate in a biomedical ethics summer curriculum, including educational sessions on bioethics research methods and lunch meetings with program faculty. The intern observes the functions and processes of the assigned work unit and may receive selected assignments to reinforce learning, assess performance, and benefit the work unit. Top applicants will be invited to an online interview to discuss their skills and interests. Final decisions will partly depend on applicants’ interests and the availability of appropriate mentors. The position is scheduled to begin June 1 and end August 6, 2027. Some flexibility in dates may be possible for well-qualified applicants; applicants should note date conflicts in their cover letter. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, January 18, 2027.
