About The Position
This position performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on the Cayuga Health System medical equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include the verification and adjustment to established performance specifications for electronic patient care equipment. Assists other trades as needed with electronic control problems. Independent judgment and time management is required for handling details of each job.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Biomedical Electronics or 2+ years' experience supporting and servicing medical equipment
- Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and services Cayuga Health Services clinical equipment including the digital TV systems and pneumatic tube systems
- Investigates, guides and instructs other on the use and operation of clinical equipment
- Maintains current knowledge levels on designated Cayuga Health system clinical equipment
- Uses the hospital information system to enter and retrieve maintenance data
- Completes monthly equipment reporting on preventive maintenance requirements.
- Participates in the Joint Commissions accreditation process when reviewing Medical Equipment
