About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II for Wyckoff Heights Medical Center located in Brooklyn, NY. Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support Healthcare Technology services. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with clinical staff. The position also requires adherence to regulatory and compliance standards and assisting in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices: Patient Monitors, ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD’s, Telemetry, EKG, IV Infusion Pumps, Cardiac Monitoring, plus OR, Anesthesia and Ventilators (not all are required).
- The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
- Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
- Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
- Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting

- Will provide OEM training or 3rd party training as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
- Provide timely and efficient service while prioritizing urgent repair needs.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.
- Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
