About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II for Wyckoff Heights Medical Center located in Brooklyn, NY. Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support Healthcare Technology services.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices: Patient Monitors, ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD’s, Telemetry, EKG, IV Infusion Pumps, Cardiac Monitoring, plus OR, Anesthesia and Ventilators (not all are required).
  • The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
  • 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting

Nice To Haves

  • Will provide OEM training or 3rd party training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
  • Provide timely and efficient service while prioritizing urgent repair needs.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.
  • Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
