The Biomedical Equipment Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing non-imaging diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. This role also involves installing, calibrating, and testing new medical electronic devices and systems. The technician will provide operational and technical advice to medical and clinical staff, act as a technical resource and mentor for entry-level technicians and interns, and maintain accurate records of all equipment inspections and repairs. Additionally, they will request necessary repair services and spare parts, and participate in educational programs to maintain technical aptitude. The position also involves recommending capital equipment replacements to Clinical Engineering Leadership and interacting with manufacturer representatives for technical information.
