About The Position

Sodexo's growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to support Healthcare Technology service for Endeavor Health's Glenbrook Hospital located in Glenview, IL. Candidate must possess a high level of technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to make decisions regarding repairs and service of customer equipment. Will also need excellent customer service/time management skill along with the capability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal manner with customers regarding services performed and with internal and external customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
  • Basic knowledge of networking theory.
  • Considerable knowledge of electronic circuitry and technical aspects of the operation, repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
  • Substantial knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation and skill in testing electronic equipment as well as in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 7-10 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment functionality and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance testing.
  • Provide timely and efficient service while prioritizing urgent repair needs.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment issues and deliver excellent customer support.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to healthcare technology management.
