Position OverviewShared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Main Function: To provide a safe environment for all patients and staff through the application of approved engineering concepts and repair methods relative to systems used in patient care areas. The Biomedical Engineering Technologist is responsible for daily technical support activities related to equipment and devices used within the clinical, allied health, and/or support service departments to which they are assigned. The major responsibility is ensuring that all complex medical devices used are maintained at a high degree of efficiency to ensure effective, safe care of the patient and safe use for the operator.
