Under relatively close supervision, the BMET I provides planned maintenance (PMs), electrical safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service on general diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • Associate's Degree
  • Field of Study: Medical electronics or equivalent military related training
  • Years of experience: Entry Level
  • Anatomy & Physiology and medical terminology, Networks and regulatory standards

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent military related training.

Responsibilities

  • Performs schedule preventive maintenance PM s and electrical safety testing on non-life support clinical medical devices low and medium risk k
  • Performs corrective maintenance, assists in installations, maintains and inspects a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic clinical devices.
  • Maintains documentation on new equipment, inspections and repairs.
  • Schedules and oversees third party repairs as necessary.
  • Provides technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation to the end user.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
