About The Position

Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Are you passionate about improving and expanding the possibilities of surgery? Ready to join a team that’s reimagining how we heal? Our Surgery team will give you the chance to deliver surgical technologies and solutions to surgeons and healthcare professionals around the world. Your contributions will help effectively treat some of the world’s most prevalent conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Patients are waiting. Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness. We are searching for the best talent for Biomedical Engineering Intern – Surgical Imaging, located in Raritan, NJ. Our team is at the forefront of developing advanced imaging technology aimed at improving laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. Project development currently requires use of in vivo models, which present limitations due to resource requirements, slow turnaround times, and difficulty controlling the tissue state. To overcome these challenges, we are initiating the development of benchtop ex vivo and in vitro models. These models are designed to simulate human blood and tissue accurately, facilitating quicker and more controlled testing scenarios. Through our enhanced lab capabilities, we will be able to significantly expedite and refine development of our laparoscopic camera's software and algorithms.
