Requirements

High School Diploma
One (1) year experience in equipment repair
Problem solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Ability to clean, test and repair home medical equipment.
Accurately receive, stock, retrieve and load equipment and supplies.
Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work.
Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and tasks
Independent decision making
Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting routine maintenance per guidelines on returned equipment.
Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting equipment per policy.
Responsible for documenting cleaning and routine maintenance as defined by guidelines.
Evaluates and recommends changes to our standard cleaning supply inventory.
Responsible for the timeliness, quality, and prioritization of equipment cleaning and disinfecting.
Follows proper procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and complaints.
Responsible for conducting equipment repairs (general).
Responsible for maintaining the pressure washer and air compressor and notifying the manager in case of breakdown or need for repairs, supplies, or replacement.
Responsible for laundering soiled rags, bags, slings, etc.
Generally, equipment returned to the dirty area from previous day and stock truck run should be cleaned by the end of each day
Reports unsafe conditions associated with returned equipment.
Identifies contaminated equipment and adheres to the Personal Protective Equipment company policy.
Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.
Fills compressed oxygen cylinders per company policy.
Fills liquid oxygen stationeries and liquid oxygen delivery vehicle per company policy.
Understands the responsibilities and duties of other Materials Management Department Employees and willingly helps outside the Biomed Department with prior approval of the Biomed Manager.
