This role involves responding to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repairs and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment. The technician will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence. Under supervision, the technician will evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and as assigned, perform PM and safety/environmental inspections. They may assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs/resolutions. The role requires effective communication and partnership with teammates and colleagues, adherence to GE policies and hospital protocols, and documentation of all repair actions. Maintaining daily communications with customers is essential for ensuring resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction. The technician will also implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals as instructed, working as a member of a local team to provide efficient service delivery. When trained, the technician will share on-call responsibility and ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, including calibration. Continuous enhancement and maintenance of technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures for the safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction is expected. The technician will utilize resources like manuals, tech support, and online tools to answer questions during PM. Compliance with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory requirements is mandatory.
