This role involves responding to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repairs and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment. The technician will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence. Under supervision, the technician will evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and perform PM and safety/environmental inspections. They may assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs. The role requires effective communication and partnership with teammates and colleagues, adherence to GE policies and hospital protocols, and documentation of all repair actions. The technician will maintain daily communications with customers, support business goals, and work as part of a local team to ensure efficient service delivery. On-call responsibility may be shared when trained. The role also requires ensuring proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and maintaining technical knowledge of current standards and procedures for the safe and effective use of medical equipment. Understanding and utilizing resources for technical questions is also key. The technician must meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
