About The Position

Maintains, operates, tests, inspects, performs preventive maintenance on, and repairs a broad range of basic clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems, including medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam equipment. Operates patient safety equipment and understands recorded data. Maintains equipment records and files, responds to incoming telephone and electronic-mail work requests, makes purchase orders, restocks parts, and performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in a biomedical electronics repair shop, or two years of general maintenance experience involving a diversified range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or military training.
• Certificate of training from a technical school in biomedical electronics.
• CBET certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment records and files for all equipment.
• Answers, transfers, picks up, and responds to incoming telephone and electronic-mail work request calls.
• Makes purchase orders and restocks parts.
• Performs related duties as required.
