About The Position
Biomed Technician I – HTM Biomed. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231. Work hours: Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week. HTM Biomed Department highlights: Full-service shop, Dynamic environment to work in, Fast-paced environment, OEM training is available.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Associate's Degree Associates of applied science, information technology management, or related field. 2 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. (Required) Or Successful completion of military BMET training. (Required)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Upon Hire (Required)
Nice To Haves
- No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES). Upon Hire
- Other Specialized formal training certificate Upon Hire
Responsibilities
- Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment
- Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status
- Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment
- Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
