Requirements
- A.A. in electronics or equivalent education in biomedical technology or equivalent military training or education
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of basic human anatomy and physiology
- Healthcare experience
- Knowledge of computer networks
- AAMI CABT or AAMI CBET certifications
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ or equivalent certifications
- Proficient and knowledgeable with applicable regulatory requirements. CMS-TJC-NFPA-HIPAA, etc.
Responsibilities
- Performs general hands-on service and technical tasks including but not limited to safety testing, preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment in the medical equipment management plan.
- Maintains documentation and reporting of service activity.
- Manage asset life cycle.
- Coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance with vendor representatives from outside firms.
- Works as a team to ensure all equipment is properly managed, and serves as knowledge resource to end users regarding equipment.
