About The Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Technician I for an onsite position at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. This is an entry-level role focused on electronics experience. In Clinical Engineering, the mission is to provide a team of empowered professionals dedicated to the continuous improvement of patient care and equipment planning & support technologies. The Clinical Engineering (Clinical Asset Management) team offers operational support and maintenance management for diagnostic, treatment, and patient support technologies. Key service areas include planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, operational support for medical technology, risk management and EH&S support, technology asset management (acquisition and disposal), maintenance contract management, and capital project planning and management.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to bring them up to the original manufacturers’ specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, definition of problems, option comparisons, appropriate solutions, implementation, and evaluation of results, troubleshooting if necessary.
• Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
