About The Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Biomed II Tech for an onsite role at the Distribution Center. This role involves conducting performance assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of medical instrumentation, devices, and systems. The technician will be responsible for scheduling and performing preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, and electrical safety inspections, as well as scheduling repairs for failed equipment. They will also repair and calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications, provide in-service education and customer service on equipment operation and safety, and conduct troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
• No supervisor experience required

Nice To Haves

• Piro biomed experience is preferred
• Candidates with electronics background will also be considered
• Associate's Degree in Biomed Engineering Technology
• 5-10 years of experience
• < 2 years of supervisor experience
• Biomedical certification

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment and devices to bring them up to the original manufacturers’ specifications.
• Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Conducts troubleshooting to identify symptoms, definition of problems, option comparisons, appropriate solutions, implementation, and evaluation of results.
