About The Position

The position will support a Neuroscience Biomarks client team that is responsible for LC-MS-based proteomics to identify and quantify biomarkers associated with neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. We are looking for a motivated scientist eager to gain hands-on experience in LC-MS proteomics workflows applied to CSF, plasma, and tissue biomarker studies, and to grow their technical skills in a collaborative, fast-moving research environment. Principal responsibilities will include weekly and monthly lab operations tasks (approximately 70% effort) while additional responsibilities will include routine testing (approximately 30% effort).

Requirements

  • B.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Neuroscience, or related field with at least 2 years of LCMS experience in the pharmaceutical industry including setup, cleaning, and monthly QC runs.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, including protein sample preparation, Western Blotting, and buffer preparation.
  • Ability to follow and troubleshoot established laboratory protocols independently after training, including identifying and escalating reagent, instrument, or assay issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LC-MS in proteomics workflows.
