About The Position
This role is ideal for an experienced Biology teacher capable of delivering both standard and Honors-level instruction in a high school setting. As a Long-Term Substitute Teacher, you will teach two sections of Biology, ensuring continuity of curriculum and maintaining academic rigor. The ideal candidate brings strong subject matter expertise and experience working with advanced students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.
- Prior high school Biology teaching experience required.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to deliver rigorous academic content effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching Honors Biology strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach 2 sections of Biology or Biology Honors.
- Deliver structured, standards-based lessons and assessments.
- Maintain a rigorous and engaging classroom environment.
- Support student understanding through instruction and feedback.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure continuity and academic alignment.
- Manage classroom responsibilities including prep and resource periods.
