About The Position

The Biology Faculty - Early College position is a full-time role responsible for teaching and facilitating student learning in biology. This role involves developing degree programs, staying current with pedagogy and the academic discipline, and contributing to the college community through service. Teaching activities can occur online or face-to-face in various settings including classrooms, clinicals, labs, or fieldwork. The faculty member will teach on the Hawthorne Academy campus.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Biology or Degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline required.
Demonstrated high level of competence in teaching and related activities.

Responsibilities

Teaches and facilitates student learning; teaching activities may occur online or face-to-face in a classroom, clinical, lab, or fieldwork setting.
Builds degree programs that embody coherent courses of study and allows students to progressively build upon and integrate their knowledge and skills.
Develops knowledge of pedagogy, academic discipline, and as appropriate, clinical profession including scholarship activities.
Contributes to the improvement of the College community through service to the College and broader community.
